Lyke Wake Walk, North Yorkshire

2011 date TBC

The Lyke Wake Walk is a demanding 40 mile crossing of the North Yorkshire Moors from Ravenscar to Osmotherley. It is an established walk which was created over 50 years ago with participants challenged to complete the walk in 24 hours.

It is a hard walk not for the faint hearted so it is important to prepare well for it. The route involves climbing 5000ft and the highest point of the walk is Botton Head at 1489ft. It is undulating with a number of short steep climbs and two ravines, coupled with peat bogs crossings.

The 2010 walk has taken place but if you're interested in taking part in the future, or have questions about the walk, contact Rachel for further details call 0113 2347474.
