Healthy hearts
Well done for taking the first step on the road to a Healthy Heart lifestyle to find out what you can do to take care of your heart.
Making small changes to your lifestyle can make a big difference. Little things like swapping the type of fats you cook and prepare food with, adding frozen veg to dishes, walking round the block for 15 minutes everyday and always taking the stairs will all count towards a healthier heart and a healthier you.
If you want to make a big impact then stopping smoking, eating fruit and veg regularly and taking more exercise could lower your risk of a heart attack by 80%.
You’ll find plenty of great ideas in our healthy hearts section, from healthy eating, exercising, not smoking to tackling stress.
You can also download our leaflets and sign up to our weekly healthy tips to keep you inspired in making a heart-healthy lifestyle your new way of life.
