Heart Research UK is delighted to be working with innovative Leeds-based company Fruitlift to improve the heart health of employees in companies across West Yorkshire. Fruitlift delivers fresh fruit to offices in the region and is supporting Heart Research UK by donating 50p from every box of fruit sold.
As well as the fruit, Fruitlift are putting Heart Research UK’s leaflets and healthy tips in the boxes they deliver to help spread the healthy heart message.
Experts recommend eating at least five portions of fruit and veg a day to give our bodies a wide range of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibre and help reduce our risk of heart disease.
Tom Platt, managing Director at Fruitlift, says: "Fruitlift provides companies with a simple means of promoting the health and well being of their employees. Fruitlift and Heart Research UK both share the view that a diet rich in fruit is essential to having a healthy heart. We are delighted to be partnering them in their fantastic work."
