Volunteers are our backbone

We are very grateful for any offers of help. After all, it is people just like you who have helped us get to where we are today, one of the leading heart research charities in the UK.

Hold an event

This can be anything from a coffee morning or one of the many sponsored events that people organise for us - perhaps a swim, walk or sponsored silence.

Don't be stuck for an idea as we'll always find something to suit you. We'll give you plenty of guidance and we have banners, balloons, T shirts, sponsor forms and everything you will need to make sure your event is a success.

Raise money together

You may be part of a community group or a member of a golf club or fitness centre. Nominate Heart Research UK for your charity event and we'll help with promotion, which could also attract new members.

Spreading the Healthy Heart message

Heart disease can be prevented by eating a healthy balanced diet, taking regular exercise and not smoking. Could you talk to children and adults about heart health? We provide you with full training and props to help spread the word and you may want to share your own experiences to add a personal touch.

Skills

Perhaps you have skills or contacts that we should know about. For example, you may already have experience of organising an event or know someone else who has. Perhaps you have experience at recruiting volunteers and setting up support groups? In fact almost everyone has something to offer.  Give us a call and we can have a chat.

Hands On Help

Heart Research UK is involved with lots of events and activities throughout the UK. We would love to hear from anyone who would be willing to give us some of their time.  We always need help with collections, marshalling or registration at events.  You might want to come in to our office in Leeds and help with administration work.
