Important Message

We have, in the past few years, received complaints from people who have mistakenly thought that Heart Research UK (HRUK) is or might be connected with or is another charity based in Australia. This other body, called the Heart Research Institute (HRI), is currently raising money for its planned state funded new research centre in Sydney. HRI is we gather associated with a charity registered with the Charity Commission that has a name confusingly similar to ours; Heart Research Institute UK. Complaints have been to do with telephone cold calls seeking donations or lottery participation on behalf of this charity by a company called Insight CCI Limited.

Heart Research UK has nothing to do with any of this, gains no benefit from these activities and does not endorse them in any way.

Heart Research UK is based in Leeds in Yorkshire. We do contact our supporters by phone but make it clear that we are calling from Heart Research UK and the funds we raise are for heart research undertaken only in the UK, which is spent for the primary benefit of people who live in the British Isles.
