Helping to make a difference, even when you're gone
Only 1 in 3 people in the UK make a will. This means that loved ones are often left with difficult decisions to make at an emotional time. Whilst no one likes to dwell too hard on the worst happening, making a will is the only way to make sure your wishes are carried out when you're gone.
Life is a journey
If you have a will already, you need to keep it up to date. Changes in your life such as marriage, divorce or death affecting your family, beneficiaries or executors may require a change to the details.
Our most important supporters
Each year, some 70% of our income comes from people who have been kind enough to remember Heart Research UK in their will.
The importance of this type of generous donation cannot be overstated. Without legacies we simply would not be able to continue our work funding research into the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease.
Often people are comforted by the fact that they are helping to fund research into heart disease after they are gone, helping future generations to live longer, healthier lives.
