Heart disease within the South Asian community
Shockingly people of South Asian origin are approximately 50% more likely to die prematurely from heart disease, than the general population. We want to highlight the fact that South Asian cooking can be healthy and that healthy eating needn't be bland or boring.
Heart Research UK also supports community groups who are encouraging healthy eating, physical activity and smoking cessation, with grants of up to £10,000.
