Payroll giving

Giving needn't be taxing

Setting up a payroll giving scheme is a simple, easy and tax-efficient way to encourage your employees to donate to charity.  We can provide advice to any company thinking about introducing a payroll giving scheme.

Payroll giving is the easiest, most cost effective way for you to regularly support Heart Research UK because the amount you choose to give comes straight from your pay, before tax. For us, knowing we have a regular source of income that we can rely on is encouraging and gives us the confidence to continue with our work in the fight against heart disease.

Who can join a payroll giving scheme?

You need to make sure your employer operates a scheme in the first place. If they don't, give Heart Research UK a call and we will ask them to set one up.  You can join a Payroll Giving scheme provided you pay PAYE tax. Even if you are retired and get a company pension, you can still join.

How much is your donation worth?

If you agree to give £5 a month, for example, it only costs you £3.90 on basic tax rate but we receive the full £5. If you pay tax at a higher rate, the net cost to you is even less.

Give for as long as you like. You can stop your donation at any time by notifying your wages department.

If you would like to donate to Heart Research UK through Payroll Giving please contact us on 0113 234 7474 or email info@heartresearch.org.uk
